The Oatmeal Facial Scrub
Oatmeal is a popular ingredient used in spas for exfoliation treatments, and if you want a spa-like treatment at home, then you need to check this recipe out. This mask is excellent for both the face and the body; however, when you are using it on your face, make sure that the oatmeal is finely ground, especially be careful around the eyes. The recipe also has some almond oil, which helps in moisturization after the dead skin is removed.
- Finely ground oatmeal (2 tbsp)
- Granulated sugar (2 tbsp)
- Brown sugar (2 tbsp)
- Almond oil (1/2 cup)
- Nutmeg (1 tsp)
Directions for preparation and use:
- Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl until thoroughly combined.
- Apply the scrub to your wet face and massage in circular motions.

Shea butter body and face scrub:
Shea butter, which is extracted from West African shea nuts, is a common ingredient in many cosmetics. It has various benefits for the skin. It makes your skin smoother, and it is also known to have anti-aging effects.
Using shea butter, you can make a fantastic scrub that will work for both the face and your body. The great thing about shea butter is that apart from exfoliating your skin, it also has moisturizing properties. Here is the recipe for this excellent scrub.
- Cold-pressed shea butter (1/2 cup)
- Olive oil (1/3 cup)
- Brown sugar (1/2 cup)
- vitamin E oil (5 drops, optional)
- Melt the shea butter in a round glass bowl placed in some hot water.
- Whip the butter into a creamy consistency.
- Add the vitamin E oil and olive oil and mix to combine.
- Add some brown sugar and stir to combine.
- To use the mask, apply it on your skin, and rum un circular motions. Make sure that you cover your entire face.
- Rinse the scrub off with some warm water.
Salt Body Scrub
This scrub is very good at exfoliation, but it should only be used in the body. The coarse structure of the sea salt can be wrong for the sensitive skin of the face.
- Sea salt (1/2 cup)
- Coconut, olive, or almond oil (1/2 cup)
- 5 to 10 drops of fragrant essential oil(optional)
Directions for preparation:
- Mix the ingredients in a bowl until a smooth paste is formed, and add in some essential oils if you want the spa experience.
- Apply the scrub on your skin and rub in circular motions for about 90 seconds
- Wash off with some warm water.
The oatmeal, and baking soda face scrub
This is another natural face scrub that you can make at home with some leftover grain. Both the necessary ingredients in this face scrub have exfoliating properties. Baking soda is also great for removing excess oil from your pores, which aids in unclogging them and avoiding acne.
- Baking soda (1 tsp)
- Oatmeal (2 tbsp)
Instructions for preparation:
- Take some cold oatmeal and the baking soda to it in a small bowl.
- Add a little bit of water to adjust the consistency if needed.
- Gently rub the oatmeal and baking soda paste on your face in circular motions.
- After about 60 seconds, wash the scrub off with warm water.
